Conquer Cold Weather In Snow Boots With Fashion and Function

It’s hard to enjoy a wintery wonderland when your snow boots are big and bulky. Just because the weather outside is frightful, it doesn’t mean your footwear has to be, too.

There’s no reason why you should have to choose between fashion and function when it comes to buying snow boots. Follow in our footsteps to find a pair that has the best of both worlds:

Start with the finishings.

Fashion-minded people share the same favorite f-word: fur. Whether it is used as a trim or lining, fur elevates the status of a snow boot by adding a touch of luxury to footwear that is usually anything but luxurious. Snow boots are made with one job in mind—to make sure you don’t have cold feet—but they don’t have to look like it.

Think sleek and chic.

The trick to finding snow boots that are still stylish? Ensuring they are anything but bulky. Look for a compact shoe that closely resembles other pairs you already own, ones you’d wear when there isn’t any sleet on the ground.

Step up in a heel.

For all the women who always want height, we have good news for you: It is possible to wear heels in the snow. But before you run and put on your stilettos, remember, the thicker the heel, the better. A boot with a skinny heel will not keep you grounded while you’re trying to dodge the white stuff coming down.

Dress them up.

Throwing on your coziest sweats is tempting when the weather is frigid. Combat that urge with a pair of boots that will encourage you to look put together, no matter what the thermometer reads. Besides, your perfectly fitting skinny jeans will do them more justice than your oversized fleece pants ever will.

Snow boots that are not fashion friendly send a frosty chill down our spine. Go dashing through the snow in a pair that will keep you in style all season long.
