6 items that a fashion editor wears on repeat

As a fashion editor, it’s hard to not get influenced by the latest trends and styles – after all it’s part of our job to see what the hype is all about right? But after trying (and buying) so many different pieces, there are certain items that I will always reach for – my tried and true fashion staples, the pieces that I can easily combine, and the items that I know will look good when I’m too lazy to think about a cool outfit.

If you want to cut through all the micro-trends and fast fashion  and find the pieces that will pass the test of time, here are 6 fashion staples that a fashion editor swears by. 

So what does a fashion editor wear? There’s a pretty high chance that an oversized, leather biker jacket will be in their closet. Not only is it a functional piece of clothing it can accommodate a wide range of styles and outfits.

My biker jacket is often my first choice when I head out – since it goes well with all my outfits. Moto not your style? You can always go for a tighter, more tailored leather jacket.

They are a great way to liven up my outfits and can easily give a basic outfit a little extra “oomph”. Not only are you protecting your eyes against UV rays, you’re looking cool while doing it.

A fashion editor’s favorite shoe? The piece of footwear that gets the most wear and tear in my closet are no doubt my mid-calf leather boots. I, myself, am personally partial to a good cowboy or biker boot, but if that’s not your thing, there are wide range of styles that fit to this category. Why are these the ultimate go-to shoe? They look good with everything! Simple as that. I can wear them almost all year long, rain or shine.
