Chunky “ugly” sandals are the newest footwear trend
Chunky trainers had fashionistas split. Do we love them or do we hate them? The decision was really one that polarized the fashion world. Now, chunky sneakers’ cousin, the chunky sandal, is out to make some headlines.
If you’ve mastered the chunky trainer, this should be no different. Just imagine your go-to dad sneaker outfit with the sandals instead. These babies are adorned with velcro, foam soles and supportive straps. If that sounds cute to you, good!
Basically, with this type of sneaker, the uglier the better… Make sense? So if they’re a little too chunky and too “dad-like”, that’s great news. If you feel the need to grab yourself a designer pair like Prada or Chanel, you can do that, too.
The choice is yours, really. There are lots of other affordable styles on the market. If you insist on wearing the designer names, you could. But, in reality, as long as they’re chunky and have some sort of straps going on, you’re good to go.
