Whether we like it or not, summer is coming to an end. And while we will miss the warm weather – we can’t help but look forward to fall fashion trends. We’ve been keeping our eye Instagram and TikTok and have spotted 6 viral fashion items that seem to be popping up everywhere. Not only have they been making appearances on social media, we’ve also seen increases in demand for them on Stylight. From biker boots to the unexpected return of 2000’s style of belts – here are 6 fashion trends for Fall 2023. 

1. Silver pants

A trend that we would have normally set aside for New Year’s Eve is making its move now for Fall 2023 – silver pants are having a moment. Google searches for silver pants have gone up by 31% in the past year and on Stylight, demand for these perfect “night-out” pants have increased by 300%.

2. Lace blouses

Crochet had a big moment this year and was the perfect fabric for summer, but now it seems that lace has made its way to the forefront. Part of its appeal is that it is the perfect layering piece to transition from summer to fall outfits. On Stylight, we’ve seen a 35% increase in demand for lace blouses compared to last year.

3. Onitsuka Tiger “Mexico 66” sneaker

Move over Adidas Sambas, there’s a new “it-sneaker” in town. The Onitsuka Tiger “Mexico 66” (especially in the color yellow) is quickly becoming the new must-have sneaker of 2023. Spotted on everyone from Bella Hadid, to Hailey Bieber, and Kaia Gerber, it’s clear that this shoe will be a key fashion item for Fall 2023. On Google searches for the sneaker have increased by 83% over the last year and demand on Stylight for the model of sneaker has grown by 41%.

4. Biker boots

A hot new boot has entered the fashion scene. While the cowboy boot trend is still going strong – a more updated version has been gaining viral attention. The biker boot made one of it’s first appearances at Paris Fashion Week for Miu Miu’s Womenswear F/W 2022-2023 show and since then it’s popularity has spread – with brands like Steve Madden, and Acne producing their own versions. The most popular version are mid-calf or knee high and are characterized by a square toe and buckle details on the side. On Google searches for the Miu Miu biker boots have increased by 71% in the past year.

5. Chunky, brown belts

Another Y2K trend has been resurrected and its the chunky belt. It may have been worn by Disney Channel starlets in the 2000s ,but in 2023 it’s being worn by some of the coolest influencers. Typically worn over-top low-waisted skirts or with jeans, some of the more popular styles are in a Western style, with metal studs, rivets, and silver detailing. Google searches for big, brown belts have increased by 51% and on Stylight, demand has skyrocketed 86%. 

6. Silver jewelry

Jewelry trends often tend to flip flop between gold and silver, minimalist and maximalist, with a few other niche trends in between. And it looks like Fall 2023 is going to be silver themed. Gold chunky chains and creole earrings were a big thing over summer, but with the cooler months approaching it seems trends are shifting towards cool tones. Chrome and silver are a big trend and on Stylight we’ve seen a 193% increase in demand for silver jewelry.
