The table as a meeting place: 3 Styles For Your Living Quarters

No matter if you need it for dining, working, or for cozy get togethers with your friends: The table is the heart of every home. How do you know which table is right for you? Three styles for three types of living quarters.

1. Dining tables

  • Living quarters: Large eat-in kitchen, dining room, or kitchenette in an apartment
  • Usage requirement: If you are lucky enough to have a large kitchen or a dining room, why don’t you make your table the social centerpiece of the room? Solid, large models made of genuine wood are particularly well-suited. Pull-out tables that can be attached to the wall are better suited for smaller rooms.
  • Materials and color: Robust wooden tables look best in a combined kitchen/living room. For small rooms, select metal or plastic models in bright colors.
  • Tip: Do you need a bit more color? Large wooden tables are particularly stylish if you combine them with chairs in different colors and styles.

2. Desks

  • Living quarters: Workroom or studio apartment with home office area
  • Usage requirement: Desks are available in multiple styles and sizes. If you are working from home for multiple hours each day, you should invest in a large table top. If you don’t have a lot of room, a secretary desk with a pull-out tray or a corner desk is sufficient.
  • Material and color: Models made of wood, stainless steel, plastic, glass, or metal. Color is important as well: Your table should either match your decor, or stand out as an eyecatcher.
  • Tip: If you are lacking space, tables with wheels, a sufficient amount of drawers, and a keyboard extension are a great option.

3. Couch tables

  • Living quarters: Room in a shared apartment or living room.
  • Usage requirements: Tables with storage room and additional drawers are ideal for small rooms. If the coffee table also occasionally functions as a dining table, consider a design with a large table top that can be adjusted in height.
  • Material and color: Glass tables are jacks of all trades and match nearly any couch and interior design.
  • Tip: An integrated LED panel on the bottom edge of the table turns any coffee table into an eyecatcher in the living room.

A piece of furniture with many functions: Dining tables with a solid wooden design become the cozy center of large rooms, while delicate pull-out models are best suited for smaller rooms. While a corner desk can turn even the smallest room into a private home office, coffee tables provide sufficient storage room in front of your sofa.

Acting as storage, a work surface or a dining area- tables play an important role in any room.
