Rebecca Minkoff Remixes An Old School Staple

Rebecca Minkoff Remixes An Old School Staple

Ever since we were in school, backpacks have been more about hauling books and No.2 pencils than actually making us look cool. But times have changed and designers like Rebecca Minkoff have taken this old school standby and upgraded it to luxury status, which means the backpack you carry can be as much of a statement as the clothes on your back.

But before you empty your current bag of all that dead weight, read our rules for what to carry in your new Minkoff-approved pack.

Allowed:

  1. A chic notebook
  2. A novel for your commute
  3. A macbook
  4. Water bottle
  5. Small umbrella
  6. Quick fix make-up bag
  7. Hand sanitizer
  8. Hair ties
  9. A lighter (Because you never know when you’ll meet a man who needs you to light his fire)
  10. T-Shirt (for emergencies)
  11. Wallet

Not Allowed:

  1. Anything that weighs more than a brick
  2. Weapons
  3. Any kind of animal, no matter how small and cute your teacup dog is
  4. A desktop computer
  5. Junk food (Because that’s not very chic is it?)
  6. Anything that forces itself to stick out of the top of your backpack
  7. A Flask
  8. The contents of your entire bathroom cabinet
  9. High Heels
  10. An umbrella large enough to double as a golf club
  11. Dirty underwear

So, if you’re in the market for a new bag, why not trade in that tired tote and give yourself something that’s actually functional? Whether you spend $50 or $5,000, a backpack is an everyday essential that’ll not only elevate your look but help your every day lifestyle.
