Organize the bathroom with mirror cabinets

Over the years our bathrooms been transformed into little wellness oases. Spacious mirror cabinets have become indispensable, so all our beauty products can be stored and be within easy reach.

Lots of doors; ample storage space

The size of the mirror cabinet in the bathroom depends on the space you have, as well as how many beauty products and cosmetic utensils you need to store. Models are available with one or up to five mirrored doors. Sliding doors are particularly suitable for long, narrow bathrooms. Note – the wider the doors, the heavier the mirror glass!

Extra tip: Soap helps prevent mirrors misting up. Rub dry soap onto the mirror surface and polish using a dry cloth. A thin film remains and this prevents misting.

The right features

Well-designed mirror cabinets provide plenty of space for all bathroom accessories and cosmetics. Depending on the model, each cabinet has different features:

  • Material: mostly plastic, but also often coated wood (beech or oak)
  • Handles: knobs, handrails, locking system with pressure opening, magnetic closing doors
  • Light: spot lights, LED light strips, integrated outside or with interior lighting
  • Storage: internally adjustable shelves, mirrored wardrobe with open shelving racks, sockets for hair dryer or shaver, extra drawers under the mirror cabinet
  • Doors: mirror on the outer door only, two-sided mirror doors, doors with magnifying mirror

The right size

When space is limited, a tall, square-shaped mirror cabinet can work wonders. With it you gain:

  • space for towels, cleaning materials
  • a full length mirror
  • visually more space. Thanks to the mirrored surface, the bathroom seems larger.

Everything that you use daily, but that you do not want standing on storage shelves or the basin, disappears behind a mirror cabinet. Families should invest in a mirror cabinet which has lots of individual compartments, while for single households, a model with a small compartment will suffice. Further plus point: The mirrored doors of the cabinets help make bathrooms look bigger.

Mirrors create order in the bathroom and make the room appear visually larger.
