Eat Better At Work With These 3 Tips
Fries, panini, chips, granola bars and prepared sandwiches tend to be the norm when you eat at the office without access to proper cooking. Sitting in front of your computer or in an unattractive break room is not doing you any good. You end up swallowing food and tasting nothing. As a result, you ingest bad calories, don’t enjoy your food and end up gaining weight.

1. Take A Real Break
It’s not that easy to take a lunch break when you’re drowning in loads of work, but it’s important to make it a priority. Your digestive system needs to be at its best when eating a meal, so relax. Take at least 45 minutes to relax and eat at your own pace. If you can, go for a little walk, listen to some music.
2. Focus on starchy foods and vegetables
A balanced meal that is supposed to contain all the food families. This is particularly important if your afternoons are long and you’re going to burn many calories. You must take into account the timing of digestion of each food. Thus, meat and dairy products take longer to digest than vegetables and starchy foods (such as rice or potatoes). To avoid wanting to sleep in front of your screen, have a stomach ache or gurgles in the middle of the afternoon, choose good plates based on starchy vegetables!
3. Get Inspired by Instagram
You can find everything and anything on Instagram. There are many accounts dedicated to food and even post meal prep inspiration videos. In a few steps, you can create a week of lunch boxes, that taste great and are good for you.
