Attention: This Is The Next Big Superfood
Word on the clean living street is that there’s a hot, new superfood in town: le pistachio. Oh yeah, your favourite salty, green nut is finally getting its 15 seconds of fame, thanks to a bunch of new studies that say pistachios are tops for your health. To which we say, Duh. Nuts in general are a pretty badass source of unsaturated fatty acids, protein, vitamin B-6, and a slew of minerals. But pistachios, specifically, in addition to being a vegan powerhouse, are just so darn pretty, so we’re all about those nutritious mother F’ers.
Furthermore, this superfood makes dukkah, the fanciest of all fancy dinner party spice rubs; are a fan-freaking-tastic gelato flavour; and a delightful garnish atop a waffle stack. Yup, pistachios sure are a super food.
