- Get more fresh air
Sunlight stimulates your metabolism and motivates you to get moving, even on cold winter days. So get a fix whenever you can, even if it’s just sitting on your doorstep while brushing your teeth, or taking a proper break for a walk at lunchtime. - Exercise
Setting your alarm clock just 20 minutes earlier will give you enough time for a quick workout and release those much-needed endorphins. Alternatively turn your commute into a workout by running or biking to the office. - Drinking lemon water
Over night the body loses a lot of fluid. To rehydrate, simply drink half a litre of warm lemon water before breakfast. The juice of the lemon stimulates digestion, encouraging fat breakdown and boosting your immune system. - A protein-rich breakfast
As they say, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Go for foods that release energy slowly like porridge, eggs or spinach-packed smoothies. - Enough sleep
More and more research is revealing the power of sleep and how important it is for you – from your physical to your mental health. If you’re getting anything less than 8 hours, it’s time to start switching off the late-night TV shows and having earlier nights.
