How to decorate a small kitchen? We have the answers
Whether your home is big or small, sometimes the kitchen area is lacking space. But this isn’t a reason to neglect the decor. Don’t be frustrated if you want to prepare lavish meals, because a small kitchen shouldn’t hold you back. Here are three top tips to furnish your mini kitchen like a pro.
1. Make use of the room's height
When you’re lacking floor space, a clever trick is to use the height of the room instead. Kitchen equipment, food, dishes… put shelves and cupboards along its walls and store utensils that you rarely use at the top and the rest as low and reachable as possible.
To give the impression of more space, take care not to block natural light from entering the room.

2. Use every inch of space
Don’t leave any nook empty! An angle? A microwave top? A fridge? Everything is an excuse to add a shelf, a storage basket or even a small appliance. Choose light-coloured elements that will make the room appear bigger too.
Extra tip: whatever the size of your kitchen, it should be organized in three areas: washing, preparation and cooking.

3. Give priority to a work top
Once you have installed your cooking appliances, it’s very important to reserve a space for preparation. As small as it is, a worktop is essential if you want to enjoy your kitchen. Everything is then a question of organization!
