What Meghan Markle will wear now that she’s not a senior royal
Since Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announced their intention to step back as ‘senior’ members of the Royal Family in January, royal watchers have been speculating as to what Meghan and Harry’s post-Megxit life will look like. Will baby Archie be raised in Canada? Will Meghan reinstate her pre-Buckingham lifestyle blog The Tig (we’d read it)? Or, as those of us following in Meghan’s sartorial footsteps, what will come of her royal wardrobe?

As a member of the Royal Family, Meghan Markle had to adhere to the sartorial rules and traditions of the institution. Royal women aren’t allowed to wear bright nail polish for instance and are urged to don pantyhose when wearing leg-bearing garments.
Since marrying Prince Harry in May 2018, the Duchess of Sussex has taken a liking to high-end designers Givenchy, Victoria Beckham, and Brandon Maxwell. Designers that, on average, can charge thousands of dollars for an outfit, contributing to Meghan’s reported $500,000 royal wardrobe in 2018.

We’re looking to Meghan’s pre-royal wardrobe, combined with our own intimate knowledge of her outfits over the past two years (seriously, we know too much) to take an imaginary peak into Meghan Markle’s post-Megxit wardrobe.
To pair with her post-royal LBD, Meghan Markle will no longer be required to wear the hats and fascinators loved by the Buckingham clan. Instead, we think she’ll swap them out for her pre-royal leather jacket.
