Ankle socks are your new favourite accessory, thanks to Kirsten Dunst

Image: Getty Images

Another day, another paparazzi shot of Kirsten Dunst looking incredible. The exciting thing about this image? Kirsten has managed to make ankle socks and shoes – a famous fashion faux pas – look really, really good, and we want to DIY.

The way to mastering it? The socks must be sheer. A delicate black pair is the easiest to try if you’re still feeling unsure. Pair them with black pointed heels and opt for a midi skirt or cropped trousers like Kirsten. Short skirts will make your look seem too ‘school uniform’, this is wearing socks the grown up way. Try it now.
