3 fun and easy manicures to try this weekend
Even though April showers are meant to bring May flowers, we would be lying if we pretended we were happy with the current weather situation. With rain one day and sleet the next, our spring and summer wardrobes continue to patiently await their in-person debut. However, just because the weather is rather unfortunate doesn’t mean our spring style needs to be halted altogether.
If like us, your forecast is calling for more rainy days, you can bring that springtime feeling straight to your nails with the help of these pretty manicures.
1. Gradient nails
Whether you want to call them gradient nails, rainbow nails, or multi-coloured nails, this child-like manicure trend is making its rounds among nail art influencers this summer. While a classic version of the manicure is to paint your nails in five different shades of one colour, we’re leaning towards a more playful version of the trend with a contrasting colour on each nail.
2. Jewelled nails
While this nail art trend certainly takes a bit more patience to achieve, we think the results make the investment more than worth it. These mini rhinestone decals lend a look of luxury to your basic gel mani.
3. Negative space nails
Similar to their jewelled counterpart, negative space nails require a fair bit of time and attention. However, if you have an afternoon to kill, we can think of no better activity. After using a nail art pen or painter’s tape for your DIY mani, you’re going to want to finish the look with a top coat so this cool nail look stays on for as long as possible.
