Buzz Cut Season: Why Celebrities Are Embracing The Close Shave

Hoooh, mama, it’s buzz cut season alright. Apparently this summer as the sweaters come off, so is celebrities’ hair. Today’s biggest stars are suddenly flocking to the clippers, but why-oh-why are these female influencers ditching the scissors at their hair appointments?
For Cara Delevingne, Kristen Stewart, Amandla Sternberg, and Aboah Adwoa, their buzz cut is as much of a political statement as it is fashion: These strong women and self-described feminists are advocates for gender issues and opted for the androgynous look as a quasi bid to be embracing of all gender identities.
Outspoken model Amber Rose has also been rocking the gender-neutral ‘do for a few years now, with models Ruth Bell and Aggy Deyn recently experimenting with the drastic hair cut.
Tempted to try the buzz cut? The only downside of this bold look is that all the attention is now on your face, so you’re going to want to make sure it’s in tip-top condition. Turmeric masks and a bronzed glow are just what this beauty doctor ordered.
Not quite convinced? Perhaps try the Met Gala’s other huge hair trends: the pixie crop or the RnB bob. All we’re sayin’ is it’s high time to shake up your summer hairstyle. When you do, be sure to show it off with these flattering necklines that draw attention to your face.
