In the smallest space: folding tables for any occasion

Folding tables make a big entrance in mini apartments. They save space, are quick to set up and can be stowed away in no time at all when they are not needed. Stylight shows you how they can be used:

When guests come around

  • At the dining table: For a meal where there are a number of guests a folding table is speedily taken out and provides more places in the blink of an eye. Just position it beside your dining table and cover the overlap with a table cloth. Alternatively, you can also add a table with collapsible side wings that folds out when required.
  • Beside a guest bed: If you have people staying the night, a small folding table can be used as a bedside table for lights, an alarm clock or a glass of water.
  • In the kitchen: A mobile collapsible cart on casters provides extra working space for preparing meals in the kitchen and also when serving at the table.

More space outdoors

  • On a mini-balcony: If you don’t have enough space for sunbathing on your lounger and eating at a table, a weather-proof folding table made out of metal or synthetic material is the solution. Preferably a model which can be attached to the balcony railings or the wall. Folded up, it can be placed by the railings or the wall and does not take up much space. If you opt for collapsible chairs, then nothing prevents you enjoying your sun lounger.
  • In the garden: The combination of a wooden ale table and ale benches with fold up metal legs which are robust and weatherproof, is great for a social occasion.
  • Extra tip: Tables and chairs which can be folded down manually are also suitable for use on-the-go, whether it is for a weekend excursion to the lake or a camping holiday. Models made from synthetic materials are particularly light to transport.

Storage: well hidden and decorative arrangement

  • A practical solution for the lounge are folding tables which are wall-mounted and which become mirrors or picture frames.
  • A dining table which has wings which fold-out lengthwise can be positioned on to the wall and disguised as panels. When needed, it can be moved from the wall and its full width opened out.
  • Some folding tables for the balcony are dual function: their mountings have flower boxes which can be used for plants.

Quick to put up and just as quick to take down, folding tables are the solution for all space issues – whether it is in the lounge or on the balcony and terrace.
