Spring is just around the corner and we’ve gathered some of the top looks for the upcoming season. The days are getting longer, the weather is getting warmer – it’s time to open the windows and welcome in the spring season. It’s finally time to say goodbye to all the sweatshirts and joggers we’ve been living in all winter and say hello to these 4 new top trends:
The Folk Boho, the Nautical Fashion, Baby Chic, and Old School Varsity. Effortlessly cool silhouettes, soft color palettes, and chic patterns and prints- there is something to inspire everyone. As is our custom, we have analyzed the buying behavior of our 120 million annual users and have compiled a list of the top must-have items for Spring 2021.
It’s true we’ve seen a lot from the 2000’s trends so far this year, but Spring 2021 is also seeing the return of bohemian or boho-chic clothing reminiscent of the 60’s and 70’s. Jackets with folklore looks and prints are particularly sought after by our users: we’ve seen a spike in interest and traffic resulting in a 69% increase in clicks. Silk scarves are also experiencing a resurgence of interest with a 24% increase in clicks: channel your inner Janis Joplin and wear them as the perfect hair accessory, or for and even bolder look – styled as a top! Silk, high-waisted pants that are cut with a wide leg are also making a comeback with a 27% increase in clicks.

Baby pink and baby blue seem to be among some of the most searched colors in the last period on Google (+30% and +47% more searches compared to the previous year) – but it’s not just because spring is right around the corner . This year one of the biggest trends of the moment is “Baby Chic”! Inspired by delicate textiles and fabrics and pastel color palettes, this trend is all about crocheted cotton cardigans (+614), multi-colored crochet hats (+82%) and pink and light blue blouses (+102%). This trend fits perfectly to spring, especially for the young at heart.

This year’s nautical trend is definitely getting us in the mood for spring. We’re welcoming in chic, striped dresses– whether they’re long, short, flowy or form fitting, clicks have increased by +55%. High waisted shorts are also having a moment, with clicks increasing by +20%. Hermés inspired silk blouses are proving to be this trend’s go-to statement piece, since we are seeing an increase in clicks by +84%. Interest in nautical inspired fashion has increased by +88% on Google search and we are definitely on board.

Back to school in spring? We’re all about it. The “academia” aesthetic has seen an +88% increase in interest on Google search, and we can see why. Polo shirts saw a +19% increase in clicks and rugby-style shirts saw an incredible +129% increase as compared to last year, giving us major prep school vibes. If you’re looking to embrace your inner school spirit than try on a varsity cardigan, which also saw an increase in clicks by +93%.
