A few days ago, one of the most important events for men’s fashion came to an end. The Pitti Uomo Fair celebrated is 103rd year and the fashion looks did not disappoint. In parallel with the Florentine event, we analyzed the behavior of our 120 million users and recorded a +355% increase in clicks for beige outfits and a +93% increase for brown outfits. Another color trend at the Pitti Uomo Fair were white pants – which we also reflected on Stylight with a +878% increase in demand compared to last year*. Another trend we saw being worn by Italian fair go-ers was the ever classic boat shoe. A staple of preppy men’s fashion, this year we are seeing it combined in a more elevated and modern style. On Stylight we’ve seen a +240% increase in demand for boat shoes compared to last year.
One of the main characters at the Pitti Uomo fair was Cruciani, which is considered to be one of the most illustrious brands in reinterpreting the magic of cashmere into a more contempory style. The focus on quality over quantity is becoming one of the dominant themes in terms of fashion trends in 2023. Online shoppers are looking to purchase less often, but invest in products with a higher price point. And in correlation with this trend, we’ve seen an increase in demand for cashmere products by over 1000%.
