What started out as just a small music festival back in the 90s, has slowly evolved into a fashion Olympics for influencers and celebs. After being canceled for the last two years, Coachella 2022 is back, along with the Revolve festival (which was established in 2015 and happens during the first weekend of Coachella) – and the looks did not disappoint. We observed several key trends amongst festival goers: Given the location, it’s expected that there will be a fair amount of western inspired looks, and through all the leather fringe and high-waisted, cut-off shorts we spotted a resurgence in cowboy hats and knee-grazing cowboy boots, with clicks increasing on Stylight by 143% and 54% respectively. Ruffled tops (+17%) and prairie-esque dresses were also a favorite – spotted on celebs like Elsa Hosk and Sydney Sweeney. Another key trend was statement pants (especially low-rise) – everything from neon green and pink to vibrant patterns and prints. Clicks for statement pants (65%) along with low rise pants (11%) increased in the first four days of the festival compared to the days prior. And of course we couldn’t forget the key item of disco-desert chic, the crochet dress, interest on Google has seen an upward trend with searches increasing by 22% compared to the month prior.
