Decorate your home for Easter, minus the pastel bunnies
The Easter bunny is almost in town, but is your home all ready for him? Whether you’re hosting a bunch of family over for Easter dinner, or just keeping it low-key with your immediate family, having your home ready for the holiday will certainly make things feel a little more exciting.
Not to mention, it’s the perfect excuse to bring spring indoors while the weather outside is still a little gloomy. But how do you do that without making it look like the Easter bunny barfed everywhere? The worst thing you can do is cover your home in pastel colours and Easter bunnies from floor to ceiling. Not only will taking down the decor be a nightmare, it also just won’t look so great overall. Here’s how you can decorate your home for Easter, without all the pastel bunnies!
Be smart with what you purchase and try to make use of whatever you already have. For example, neutral plates, in this case, black & grey, are the base of the setting. The accents that you might have to purchase are a pastel coloured napkin of your choice (we love the pink!!), some gold Easter eggs, rose gold cutlery and a little natural touch with the leaves. This is a perfect way to use what you’ve got in your cupboards and add a few more items to really tie the look together. The gold is absolutely perfect considering it’s been trending in home decor for quite some time now! You can follow the same sort of colour scheme around the house by keeping 3 colours as your focus: a pastel, a metallic and a neutral.

Easter is the perfect time to use flowers around the house for decoration. Here, the table is neutral with gold & pink accents, but a pop of yellow tulips certainly makes a difference and adds some light to the overall look. You can use other yellow flowers such as daffodils and sunflowers to complete your decor. The slice of natural wood lace are also super popular and totally on-trend during this time of year.

Adding a few twigs here and there might not sound like the best idea, but when you actually do it, the results are super cute. Here, the brown contrasts perfectly against the more classic pastel table set-up. This look would be perfect for an Easter brunch or dinner and can be made fancier with a metallic accent colour.
