Baggy pants spare women the daily battle with skinny jeans or other tight-fitting garments. But easy as they may be to slip into, baggy pants only look good if you heed a few styling rules. These four tips for baggy pant combos will help you carry off the look with style:
1. Avoid the blown-up balloon look:
As baggy pants are already quite voluminous, the motto for up top is “less is more”! Instead of reaching for oversized shirts, it’s best to combine these pants with close-fitting tank tops or short crop tops.
But beware: You don’t need to have a six pack to rock this outfit, but a pair of baggy pants that stop at the waist in combination with a tight shirt is not an option. If you’re conscious about your stomach, it’s best to wear a wide-fitting top and tuck it loosely into the pants.
2. Shoes make all the difference
By their very nature, baggy pants are sporty rather than chic. That means narrow sneakers are almost always a good option – provided they’re not too fancy. Combined in the right way, the latest baggy pants for women can even be worn with high heels.
